Fans to be treated to TCR autograph session at Winton
Series organisers for the carsales TCR Australia Series will conduct an official driver’s signing session during Round 5 at Winton Raceway this Sunday.
All 19 TCR Australia drivers will be at the session, located near the media centre, starting at 10:40am on Sunday (September 1).
Also, a limited run of TCR Australia merchandise will be available near the pit area at Winton, featuring shirts, hats and beanies.
According to category manager Liam Curkpatrick, the signing session and merchandise sale has been borne from an increased demand from the public.
“The TCR category has hit a sweet spot with fans have been asking us for official signing sessions so they can get access to all of the drivers,” said Curkpatrick.
“In our first year on track, these new cars have been the stars, but as we all know, the drivers are the real heroes, so this will be a good opportunity for people to get up close, meet the drivers for photos or get their autographs.”
TCR Australia will have free posters for signing opportunities.
Round 5 of the carsales TCR Australia Series will be held over a unique two-day meeting format, with practice, qualifying and Race 1 held on Saturday, followed by two races on Sunday.
All three races will be broadcast live, free and in HD on SBS, as well as livestream on the TCR Australia website.
