Penalties handed out after tough Race 1 at Winton

Stewards have issued penalties to Tony D’Alberto, Alexandra Whitley and Jordan Cox for incidents during Race 1 of Round 5 of the carsales TCR Australia Series at Winton Motor Raceway yesterday.

D’Alberto received a five-second penalty for a clash with Nathan Morcom. The penalty has demoted him from fourth to sixth in the results, moving Morcom up to fourth and Aaron Cameron fifth.

Whitley received a 30-second penalty for an incident with Leanne Tander which sees the Alliance Autosport Volkswagen Golf driver drop from 12th to 13th in the results.

The Alfa Romeo of Jordan Cox also received a 10 series points penalty for a clash with Wall Racing’s John Martin at Turn 1.
