Daniel Riccardo has enjoyed his second drive of a Renault Megane TCR car in the UK this week.

The Renault F1 star, currently ninth in the Formula 1 driver’s standings, took part in a promotional event with Castrol at the Bedford Autodrome.

Riccardo met special customers and took them for laps of the circuit in Vuković Motorsport-built Renault Mégane RS TCR – the same cars that Garry Rogers Motorsport enters in the carsales TCR Australia Series.

It was the second time that Ricciardo has driven the Renaults, having conducted a similar event in March, just before the Australian Grand Prix. He was said to have been impressed by the Megane’s improved performance following the continuous development carried out by the Swiss engineering company during the recent months.

Team owner Milenko Vuković was pleased to have Riccardo join the team for the day.

“Both Daniel and his passengers had lots of fun,” he said.

“It was a great pride for our team to be involved in the event and I personally wish to thank Castrol and Renault Sport for giving us this opportunity to showcase the Mégane TCR and its potential.”
