Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series to conclude with 400km event at Bathurst International

The 2021 Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series will conclude with a points-paying 400km event at Mount Panorama, held as part of the Supercheap Auto Bathurst International this November.

The TCR Bathurst 400 will comprise three 21 lap races on the legendary 6.213km circuit, which are set to be the longest races contested by the TCR Australia Series since its inception in 2019.

A unique format will see Astrontech Qualifying determine the starting places for Races 1 and 2, with Race 2 featuring a reversal of the top 10 qualifying positions.

The grid for the third and final race will be decided by the points accumulated from Races 1 and 2.

The Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series finale is part of an impressive and diverse showcase of motorsport in November, including the debut of the high-powered S5000 open wheel category on the world-famous mountain.

A three-hour endurance event for Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia Powered by AWS provides the only opportunity for the GT3 sports cars to race in a long distance event at Bathurst this year, while the Trans Am 100 for the V8-powered Ford Mustangs, Chevrolet Camaros and Dodge Challengers is expected to be a highlight.

The ever-popular Gulf Western Oil Touring Car Masters returns to Bathurst for its season finale, while the MRF Tyres Australian Production Car Series and Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge will provide plenty of action for the inaugural event.

The Supercheap Auto Bathurst International will be a truly unique and significant event at a venue steeped in heritage, with the event set to become a ‘jewel in the crown’ on the Australian motorsport calendar.

Tickets are on sale now, including camping both at the bottom and top of the mountain, plus corporate hospitality options.
