Jay Hanson’s latest specification Audi receives warpaint

Following on from the reveal of his latest specification Audi RS3 LMS TCR, Jay Hanson has unveiled his livery ahead of the opening round of the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series at AWC Race Tasmania.

Hanson’s brand new Audi is the only one of its kind in the southern hemisphere and at Symmons Plains this weekend it will become the first to contest a race outside of its maiden campaign in the WTCR where it scored three victories.

Transitioning to the new Audi from an Alfa Romeo, Hanson will enter his second season of Supercheap Auto TCR Australia with the same sponsor support as last year led by AWC, while Pana Group, Ingal, JD Printing and Cowbiz feature on various areas of the RS3 LMS TCR.

The strongest field in Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series history will contest the second running of AWC Race Tasmania at Symmons Plains on February 11-13.

“When I did my seat pour, I thought it looked almost too good to put stickers on,” said Hanson.

“We just put a livery on it, but hopefully we can do a full wrap later in the season and really trick it up to make it special.

“It’s great to have one of these brand new Audis down here and the support we’re getting from Audi Sport in Germany is awesome so it’s pretty cool to have the only one in the southern hemisphere as well as it having my name on the window.

“I think there will be a lot of people watching to see how it performs and hopefully it ticks all the boxes.”
