New title sponsor for Team Soutar Motorsport

Tufflift Hoists, a long-time supporter of Team Soutar Motorsport will assume naming rights sponsorship of the operation’s new Audi RS3 LMS TCR for 2023.

To be known as Tufflift Racing, the privateer team enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2022 when driver Zac Soutar scored his maiden Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series victory at AWC Race Tasmania as the young gun finished sixth in the standings.

Soutar will transition from a Honda Civic Type R TCR to a brand new latest generation Audi for 2023, which is expected to arrive in the coming weeks.

Debuting last year in Supercheap Auto TCR Australia, the new generation Audi RS3 LMS TCR achieved a season high three pole positions and four victories.

Tufflift Hoists is a leading international hoist manufacturing and distribution company founded 30 years ago. Based in Australia, Tufflift Hoists boasts a combined 60 years experience in sales, installation and service across its range. Not only does the company specialise in hoists, but also car stackers and scissor lifts for both car or motorcycle applications.

A major supporter of the Soutar’s Australian Formula Ford Series program, Tufflift Hoists made the step up to Supercheap Auto TCR Australia where it took prime placement at Round 3, the category’s first trip to Bathurst in 2021.

Tufflift Racing will debut its new moniker and Audi at AWC Race Tasmania for the opening round of the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series on February 24-26.

Zac Soutar

Driver, Tufflift Racing Audi RS3 LMS TCR

“I’m thrilled to have Tufflift Hoists onboard as my naming rights partner for the 2023 TCR Australia Series.

“Tufflift has been a huge supporter of mine since my first year in Formula Ford back in 2017. It’s great to see that the relationship has grown to the point where Team Soutar Motorsport will become Tufflift Racing for this season.

“It’s shaping up to be a really exciting season for us. We’ve got a new car on the way, a new name and a new naming rights partner. Nothing is ever certain in motorsport, but I definitely feel like we’re giving ourselves the best possible chance to challenge for the championship this season.”

David Potter

“The team at Tufflift want to pass on a huge congratulations to Zac, Shane, Ben and Team Soutar Motorsport for the new direction and the exciting new car.

“We have always enjoyed supporting Zac’s journey through the various racing categories, where we have shared many highs and lows over the many seasons.

“The Tufflift organisation is extremely excited to continue to support Zac and take our relationship to a new level for the upcoming season, with the creation of the Tufflift Racing team.”
