Will Brown and LIQUI MOLY get latest-spec Audi for 2023 TCR Australia

Inaugural Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series winner Will Brown is back for his third season with continued support from LIQUI MOLY.

Brown will drive the latest-generation Audi RS 3 LMS TCR, driven last year by Jay Hanson.

After winning the 2019 title in a Hyundai, Brown stepped back into the class in 2022 and finished a close runner up to Tony D’Alberto last year in what was a thrilling finish to the 2022 Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series.

Brown will continue with Audi, Melbourne Performance Centre and LIQUI MOLY in the car Hanson used to take three pole positions, four victories and nine fastest laps in 2022.

During the off-season, the car has been completely rebuilt, and with a fresh LIQUI MOLY livery, Brown is aiming to become the first driver to win two Supercheap Auto TCR Australia titles.

A winner of seven races in the two seasons he has contested, Brown is currently ranked 25th in the TCR World Rankings.

Brown will start his title pursuit at AWC Race Tasmania on February 24-26.

MPC Team LIQUI MOLY, Audi RS3 LMS TCR

“It’s awesome to partner with LIQUI MOLY and MPC in a brand new Audi RS3 LMS TCR,” said Brown.

“To have the new-specification Audi this year and be ready to hit the track with LIQUI MOLY is just awesome, I’m just ready to get into it.

“Obviously last year was pretty disappointing to come second and nearly win the title in that awesome last race at Bathurst. I’m just excited to get back out there in the new car and we’re trying to win the title, which is why I am here.

“It’s great that the series winner from last year, Tony D’Alberto is back in 2023 alongside many of the other contenders, so I’m sure there will be lots of tough racing again.

“It just adds to all the racing that I’m doing, so I’m looking forward to it.”

Troy Russell

Director, Melbourne Performance Centre

“It is fantastic to welcome LIQUI MOLY and Will Brown back to our team for the 2023 TCR Australia Series,” said Russell.

“Will jumps into the car that Jay Hanson drove last year, who for a rookie proved very fast.

“We only expect that a driver of Will’s calibre will be just as fast and provide our team with a great chance of putting him right up the front.

“LIQUI MOLY has been a loyal supporter of our team over the years and it’s exciting for us to continue that journey.”

Belinda Narbey

Head of Partnerships and Events, LIQUI MOLY

“Will and MPC are great ambassadors for our brand,” said Narbey.

“Will is a real character of the sport, and we’ve had the pleasure of the Brown family business using our products, so there are some great synergies in the partnership.

“MPC has proven to be one of the fastest and most professional teams in pitlane, so we have no doubt that it will continue in 2023.

“We choose to back Will, MPC in the TCR Australia Series because when you look at what LIQUI MOLY does globally in motorsport, it ties in very nicely.

“We are proud of the partnership and are hoping that Will can go one better in 2023 by bringing home the title.”
