Fresh livery just the start for Challenge Motorsport
Challenge Motorsport’s Iain McDougall is back for more in 2023 as he returns to the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series for his first full-season campaign with expanded support and a fresh livery.
After confirming his place on the grid earlier this month, McDougall has revealed a striking revised livery for the upcoming season. Still paying homage to Audi’s Le Mans success, streaks of yellow feature throughout to replicate a successful livery used during the four rings’ dominance during the late-2010s.
Expanded support comes from Auto Plus More after being an in-car sponsor during the 2022 season, while East2 Technology joins the squad for the upcoming campaign.
Auto Plus More is an independent and family-run service station located in the Melbourne suburb of Emerald providing a variety of fuels in addition to a repair workshop.
As for East2 Technology, it is a company delivering the next generation of global rewards programs through transforming travel and lifestyle that can be easily earned and spent.
Already revealing his aim to be a consistent top 10 contender, McDougall will be one to watch in 2023 driving a first generation Audi RS3 LMS TCR prepared by Melbourne Performance Centre, although Challenge Motorsport is building a new facility in Williamstown.
“Last season was a fantastic challenge with some positives, highlighted by our home round at Sandown and we look forward to applying the learnings from 2022 to be competitive in 2023,” explained McDougall.
“We are thrilled to be returning to TCR Australia for a second year and to be working with Troy, Lee and the team at Melbourne Performance Centre.
“Our livery has evolved from last year to highlight modern inspiration from more recent Audi liveries. We continue to get great support from Auto Plus More and welcome East2 to the team.
“AWC Race Tasmania represents our first foray off the mainland to race. After many virtual miles, Symmons Plains offers a unique track which looks simple on paper but is hard to perfect.
“The team is currently building a race workshop in Williamstown to create the foundations of a sustainable motorsport business.”
The opening round of the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series is at AWC Race Tasmania, Symmons Plains on February 24-26.
