CUPRA to support Michael Clemente in 2023
Carl Cox Motorsport and driver Michael Clemente have today announced the support of CUPRA Australia.
The team first introduced the CUPRA Leon TCR at Round 2 at Phillip Island in the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia series, and this support demonstrates the collaboration between the team and the official CUPRA importers in this market.
This marks the first collaboration for CUPRA in Australia into motorsport, which launched into Australia in June 2022 via the brand’s inner city CUPRA Garage spaces in Australian capital cities.
Staffed by passionate CUPRA Specialists, the Garage spaces will serve as a central beacon for the brand, while also becoming a local hub for the growing CUPRA Tribe – an international collective of fans and like-minded people, bound by a shared love of driving.
Unlike other car brands, CUPRA offers its customers a unique and bespoke brand experience and, in conjunction with its CUPRA Garages, embraces a hybrid agency sales model.
CUPRA Australia, Director, Ben Wilks, said: “From a new challenger brand to a new challenger team, we wish you well in the series to come.”
Mike Clemente, driver #15 in the Carl Cox Motorsport CUPRA TCR said: “It feels great to be able to have the support of CUPRA for this race. This support further enables us to race hard and help the CUPRA TCR Leon continue to get onto the podium. It’s excellent to have them on board for now and moving forward.”
