Aussie drivers climb TCR World Rankings
SUPERCHEAP AUTO TCR Australia drivers have climbed the TCR World Rankings following the most recent round at Queensland Raceway.

Brad Harris is the highest climber after sensational Queensland
TCR’s newest race winner Brad Harris was the biggest climber in the KUMHO TCR World Ranking this weekend, with the Wall Racing Honda driver moving up 122 positions thanks to his Race 2 victory and Race 3 podium this weekend at Queensland Raceway.
The Australian held off pressure in both races to score his career-best results in his third race meeting of competition, and so catapults up the ranking to 287th position, now just five spots behind another race-winning series rival, Tom Oliphant.
Will Brown remains the top Aussie in the ranking
Will Brown scored a great haul of points with his podium and two race wins at Queensland, which were just slightly less valuable than the three results he dropped from last season, which meant a minor slip of just one place in the ranking, but he remains the best-placed Australian in the ranking in 40th place and in the qualifying spots for the TCR World Ranking Final.
The only other driver with a provisional spot in the final is Bailey Sweeny, who moved up nine places after a solid weekend in his HMO Customer Racing Hyundai.
Jordan Cox and Josh Buchan fall out of the top 45
Unfortunately a tough weekend for Jordan Cox, as well as a meeting where Josh Buchan’s dropped scores from a sensational meeting in Sydney last year were worth far more than the points he scored this weekend in Queensland, saw both Buchan and Cox drop out of the qualifying slots for the Final, at least for now.
Buchan has slid 24 places to 65th, while Cox drops 28 spots to 70th, just two places ahead of reigning champion Tony D’Alberto.
Seven in the top 100, with two more looking in
There are seven drivers from the TCR Australia series represented in the top 100 drivers in the world (with well over 1,100 drivers now in the KUMHO TCR World Ranking), with two drivers just outside of the top 100 and ready to break in.
Zac Soutar sits in 101st place in his Audi RS 3, while Michael Clemente’s strong season sees him continue to climb up the order, now up five spots to 118th, and could join the top 100 club with another strong race meeting next time out at Sandown.
