The wet weather that persisted for almost the entirety of TCR’s Friday running is expected to be replaced by clear skies and a dry track for the remainder of the weekend.

Only a handful of cars ventured out for the afternoon session as a result, with the times in Practice 2 some three seconds slower than the best from this morning’s hitout.

The seven cars to log a timed lap included both HMO Customer Racing machines, with Tom Oliphant topping the timesheets ahead of Practice 1 fast man Dylan O’Keeffe.

Reigning series champion Josh Buchan set the third-fastest time of the session, having elected to sit out most of this morning’s session.

Jordan Cox, Brad Harris and returning privateer Iain McDougall were next, with Glenn Nirwan the only driver to log more than 10 laps on the way to the seventh-fastest time.

The Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series next hits the track at 9:30am local time on Saturday for a two-part qualifying session that will set the grid for the opening race of the weekend at 2:45pm.
