Brand-new Hyundai i30 N Sedan TCR lands in Australia for 2025 season
As the winningest team in TCR Australia history and aiming for a hat-trick of titles in 2025, HMO Customer Racing has reinforced its commitment to the category by welcoming a second i30 N Sedan TCR to the fold.
Known internationally as an Elantra TCR, the latest in Hyundai’s long line of recent touring car involvement has represented the Korean brand successfully on a global stage by achieving wins in Australia, South America, the US, Europe and of course the TCR World Tour.
The new car includes the latest model look and upgrades, including aerodynamic changes, compared to the i30 N Sedan that team driver Josh Buchan used to win last year’s title.
The team has also secured the same upgrades to fit to Buchan’s car from 2024, ensuring both cars feature the latest styling tweaks to best represent the brand’s current look on the market.
Buchan has won the previous two TCR Australia Series titles using the i30N Sedan TCR since debuting the variant at the Bathurst International season finale in 2022. He achieved four victories and three pole positions across its two years of competition.
The team also retains one of the hatchback variants in its TCR fleet and is due to confirm its full driver line-up in due course.
The TCR Australia Series is set to begin at Carco.com.au Raceway supporting the Supercars Championship on June 6-8.

“It’s really awesome to have this new Hyundai in the country,” said Fulcher.
“The new version is the facelifted model featuring a different appearance, which matches the current road-going car available at Hyundai dealers. It has new headlights, front and rear fascias, plus a couple of other pretty bits, but it is the same version already raced here, just updated visually.
“Both of our i30 N Sedans (Elantras) have been updated, so they will look the same on-track.
“It makes the HMO Customer Racing program market relevant to the road-going i30 N Sedans available in Hyundai’s showrooms.
“We’re 100 percent committed to TCR Australia. We love the category, plus having two TCR World Tour rounds at The Bend and Macau competing against globally renowned drivers is a pretty exciting prospect. This year, we’re going to tracks we haven’t raced at such as Carco.com.au Raceway and ONE Raceway, and this adds another element to the series.
“Our intention is to enter at least two Hyundais in this year’s TCR Australia Series and we are fielding further inquiries regarding more. This will all be confirmed soon.”
