TCR title leader set to take on different Hyundai challenge

Will Brown will feature in a talent rich driver line up for the upcoming Hyundai Excel Enduro event at Queensland Raceway in two weeks time.

Having been the dominant driver in the inaugural carsales TCR Australia Series, Brown will share driving duties with Darren Whittington in the 170km Hyundai Excel endurance race.

Joining Brown on the grid is a host of top level drivers from many different categories, including Super3 star Broc Feeney, Toyota 86 racers Declan Fraser and Jaylyn Robotham, plus Chelsea Angelo who contested the first three rounds of the TCR Australia Series with Kelly Racing in the Holda Astra.

Angelo will team up with fella fast femme Ashley Izod.

Both Brown and Angelo will drive with the BPRO team who are long-time Excel racers.

The driver for Brown will make for a busy month. One week after this event, he will be competing at Sandown in both the TCR Series and the historic debut of S5000.

“I can’t wait to jump into the Excel for the Enduro, the racing really looks like a lot of fun,” said Brown.

“As I’ve always said, I will drive anything I can, so when the opportunity came up, I said yes right away.

“The guys at BPRO do a great job, and I can’t wait for it to kick off!”

The weekend format for the Track Attack Hyundai Excel Series will see a regular single-driver championship event format on Saturday, followed by the two-driver main event on Sunday.

Over 40 cars are expected to take the start of the state-level race.

The next carsales TCR Australia event will be held at Sandown on September 20-22.
