Will Brown tops opening practice at Albert Park
Hyundai driver Will Brown has topped the opening practice session at Albert Park ahead of the first TCR Asia Pacific Cup event this weekend.
The reigning TCR Australia Series champion was well ahead of the field, with Nathan Morcom finishing the 20 minute session in second place, over 0.8s faster than his HMO Customer Racing team-mate.
Volkswagen turned Peugeot driver Aaron Cameron was third, ahead of Renault Megane driver James Moffat who had boost problems in the early stages of the session before fighting back to fourth.
Rounding out the top five was James Allen (Alfa), Jay Hansen (Alfa), Stan van Oord (Audi), Jason Bargwanna (Peugeot), Zac Soutar (Honda) and Garth Tander (Audi).
Practice 2 starts at 2.15pm local time.
