Tander and McAdam return while HMO expands for Bathurst TCR round
A 22-car field is set for the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series’s historic first race event at Mount Panorama next weekend.
To be held on the Easter long weekend supporting the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour, the event will mark the first time that the international turbo-charged TCR category will compete around the famous mountain circuit.

Audi will have two returning entrants for Round 3 of the series, including four-times Bathurst 1000 champion Garth Tander and Brisbane-based privateer Liam McAdam.
Tander will campaign the same Audi RS 3 LMS that he qualified on pole at the still-born TCR Asia Pacific Cup event at Albert Park in March 2020, while McAdam will drive his #97 Audi that has recently undergone a livery change. CLICK HERE for more on McAdam’s Audi.
The HMO Customer Racing team also expands, bringing three of its Hyundai i30 N TCRs to an event for the first time.
Carrera Cup regular Duvashen Padayachee will join Australia’s official Hyundai TCR team alongside the team’s regular drivers Josh Buchan and Nathan Morcom – the latter picking up a podium finish in the last race at Phillip Island.
Audi driver Chaz Mostert leads the series after two rounds, ahead of his Melbourne Performance Centre team-mate Luke King and Symmons Plains race winner Lee Holdsworth.
The Bathurst event will feature two practice sessions on Friday, followed by qualifying, Race 1 and Race 2 on Saturday and one more race on Sunday in the build-up to the 2021 Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour on Sunday afternoon.
