Supercheap Auto Super Sends – Sydney Motorsport Park

It was a spectacular round of Supercheap Auto TCR Australia at Sydney Motorsport Park, some may even describe it as frantic, with Hyundai continued its winning form at the venue and young gun Jay Hanson added another victory in his latest specification Audi.

This made deciding the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Super Sends extremely difficult to decide upon, but here they are as follows.

Super Send 1

First is the always spectacular Jordan Cox driving the Swyftx GRM Peugeot at his home circuit as he engages in combat with fellow winner in Tasmania, privateer Zac Soutar in his Spicers Australia Honda Civic Type R TCR. In a close exchange the duo go through Turn 1 side-by-side before Cox has a crack under brakes at Turn 2. This sequence has everything.

Super Send 2

Fabian Coulthard in the Stan Sport Honda Civic Type R TCR may have not had the weekend he wanted, but it did provide plenty of action as he scythed his way through the field during the opening laps. Coulthard’s charge took place just corners after the Super Send 1 and included some three-wide action!

Super Send 3

James Moffat definitely had the LMCT+ Racing GRM Renault Megane RS TCR on form during Race 2, being a big mover through the pack although not featured as part of the inverted grid. As part of his charge to eighth, Moffat executed this fine inside pass on polesitter and opening race winner Josh Buchan at Turn 6.

Super Send 4

What’s better than a gaggle of multiple TCR models going at it in an opening lap stoush? Inaugural series winner Will Brown was forced to work his way through the field twice due to an opening race failure to finish. Brown didn’t muck around in this section, passing Ben Bargwanna and Coulthard at Turn 11, while getting a great exit to pass Lachlan Mineeff down the main straight.

Super Send 5

It was as an all-Audi attack in Race 3 and two Honda privateers experienced this first hand. Brown forges the path through for teammate Hanson on Michael Clemente on the front straight before going side-by-side with Soutar through Turn 1 as his Audi stablemate follows.
