GRM Set to Debut Peugeot 308 P51 TCR at Sydney Motorsport Park
The latest development in global touring car racing will hit the track for its worldwide competitive debut at Sydney Motorsport in the penultimate round of the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series.
Garry Rogers Motorsport are set to field two Peugeot 308 P51 TCR machines, alongside the squad’s now superseded Peugeot 308s. Title contenders Ben Bargwanna and Jordan Cox have been handed the keys to GRM #001 and GRM #002.
The latest generation Peugeot TCR offering has been wholly designed and built at GRM’s workshop in Dandenong. With the team now in the process of constructing two more chassis’ to complete the team’s four car line-up in time for the season-ending round as part of the Supercheap Auto Bathurst International from November 8-10.
Valvoline backed duo Aaron Cameron and Ryan Casha will both remain in the team’s existing Peugeots in which they have both driven to the podium in 2024, and for Casha a maiden race win last time out at Queensland Raceway.
Moving in to 2025 GRM, as the sole manufacturer for the Peugeot 308 P51 TCR, will be responsible for supplying new cars to TCR teams and drivers across the globe.
The model change, and subsequent engine change, mean that Bargwanna and Cox will both incur five place grid penalties for race one of the weekend in Sydney.
Round six of the 2024 Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series takes place from October 18-20 at Sydney Motorsport Park.
