International Rounds Headline Ground-Breaking 2025 TCR Australia Calendar
The TCR Australia Series has announced a ground-breaking five-round calendar for the 2025 season.
The season will begin and end with two key international events in New Zealand and at a to-be-announced Kumho FIA TCR World Tour event.
As part of an increased relationship between the TCR Australia Series and global TCR rights holder, WSC Group, the Australian field will feature alongside the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour in two high-profile events to conclude the year.
In a win for motorsport fans, three rounds of the 2025 TCR Australia Series will be contested as part of Supercars Championship events. The new partnership will see the exhilarating door-to-door action of TCR on display at some of Australia and New Zealand’s biggest motorsport events.
A five-round calendar has been introduced in a strategic move to keep competition budgets attainable for more competitors, with a view to maximising the number of TCR cars racing in Australia and enabling more new talent to join the TCR Australia Series. Freight assistance for the two international rounds will also be extended to teams.
The series will kick off with a historic maiden voyage overseas when the stars of TCR headline the undercard for the ITM Taupō Super 440 in New Zealand from April 11-13.
From June 6-8, Western Australia will play host to TCR action for the first time when the series takes to Carco.com.au Raceway as part of the Perth Super 440.
A round will follow at Winton Motor Raceway from August 22-24, where TCR Australia will take centre stage at the Race Winton event alongside other key national categories such as the Trico Trans Am Series.
The series will then join the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park for a blockbuster showdown against the world’s best touring car drivers from September 12-14 as part of The Bend 500.
The final to-be-announced international round will see the field line up alongside the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour for the second time in as many rounds, setting up an unmissable conclusion to the 2025 season.
After four years as the series’ Title Partner, Supercheap Auto will continue to support the series into its new era as Series Partner and Official Automotive Parts Retailer, with all cars in the TCR Australia Series to continue carrying prominent Supercheap Auto branding.
Additionally, Supercheap Auto will also sponsor the Pole Position Award at all rounds of the 2025 series, with the fastest qualifier at each round to receive the new Supercheap Auto Pole ‘Gift Card’ and $1,000 in cash.
The restructured event platform is part of a long-term commitment from WSC Group and TCR Australia to realise the potential of the global touring car formula in Australia and New Zealand.
With an exciting new calendar, the 2025 season will play out before some of the largest in-person audiences in series history while going on display to a worldwide TV and digital audience.
