Brad Harris Locks in Maiden Round Win on Dominant Sunday
Brad Harris has backed up his performance in race two with another comprehensive victory in race three at Phillip Island for the 2024 Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series.

Despite starting from pole position for the final race of the weekend, it was a drag race to turn one that was won by Carl Cox Motorsport’s Clay Richards. It took just two laps for Harris to find his way back into the race lead in his Wall Racing Honda Civic FK7 TCR, with a pass at the final corner.
Richards appeared to struggle in his Cupra Leon Competicion, with Ben Bargwanna the next driver to get by after the pair ran side-by-side for the better part of an entire lap. The fight drew Aaron Cameron and a hard charging Josh Buchan into the mix, with Cameron getting by and setting after his Garry Rogers Motorsport teammate.
Bargwanna set the fastest lap of the race in his pursuit of Harris, but was unable to close in on the leading Honda. Cameron looked set for third until a late failure left him to scramble home in 10th.
Tony D’Alberto salvaged a strong finish after a superb charge through the field from 10th on the grid to finish in fourth, while Richards hung on to finish in fifth.
After starting from pit lane due to the last-minute completion of some repairs, Zac Soutar steered his Tufflift Racing Audi up to sixth place.
There were also problems for Jordan Cox, Glenn Nirwan and Ryan Casha who all finished off the pace, while Jude Bargwanna didn’t complete a lap after struggling for mechanical reliability all weekend in his Alfa Romeo Giulietta.
Harris’ double victory on Sunday secured him his first round victory in TCR, and also ensured he took out the TCR Challenge honours for the third round in a row.
Provisionally, Bargwanna reclaims his series lead by seven points over Zac Soutar.
